Why is Torque Drift 2 moving from free-to-play to a paid model?
What’s included in the demo version?
The demo version provides a great way to try Torque Drift 2 before purchasing the full version. Here’s what’s included:
Access up to Player Level 5 (unlocks Drift Skills, Freestyle, shop, performance upgrades, and tuning).
Limited garage space with up to 3 cars.
If I have progress in the free Epic Games version, will it carry over?
Yes, all your progress will transfer to both the paid and demo versions. Any cars or parts you have will remain in your garage, even if you continue playing on the demo.
Who qualifies for a free upgrade to the paid version?
Any player who has spent any amount on in-game items (like Tofu packs, cars, or parts) will receive the paid version for free. Eligible players will receive an email after the 0.12 release with instructions for claiming their paid upgrade.
How will I claim my free upgrade?
If you qualify for a free upgrade, you’ll receive an email with a link to your Torque Motorsport dashboard, where you can claim your free Steam or Epic Games Store key.
Can I play on both Steam and Epic Games Store with the same account?
Yes! Your account is tied to your Torque Motorsport account, so you are free to play on either platform! However what features you have will be determined by what version you have on that platform.
What’s the price of the paid version, and will there be a discount?
The paid version will be available for $15 USD for the first two weeks and then increase to $20 USD after the 12th of December
If I choose to claim a Steam key, will my Epic Games Store progress transfer to the paid version on Steam AND the demo version on Epic?
Yes your progress will transfer to the steam version and your Epic Games version but on Epic Games you will be restricted by the demo versions limited features
Will my in-game currency balance transfer to the paid/demo version if I move from Epic to Steam?
Yes all in-game currency will transfer over
Can I use my REVV on Steam?// What happens to my REVV if I decide to switch to steam?
All Limited Edition items are only available in the demo version of Torque Drift 2 on Epic Games Store, however your REVV will remain in your smart wallet and you can continue using it outside of Torque Drift 2
