PHYSICS UPDATES + NEW GAME MODE

Major adjustments to the physics have been made to provide a more fun and engaging experience.

We have been listening to all your feedback on our physics and have made several adjustments to allow for more feeling of weight, grip and better handling between grip and drift. We now have the ability to not only tune a car for drifting but also traditional racing as well.

We have included the following additions to complete our physics adjustments.

  • Slick Tires

  • Tune Defaults for Drift and Race

  • Major Sim Rig Force Feedback changes

New time trial game mode features 12 brand new layouts designed purely for traditional racing.

PERFORMANCE

We've implemented major optimizations across the game, resulting in an general performance increase of 15%, with some systems seeing even greater gains. Rendering settings, Materials, Meshes have all received large passes to reduce overhead, improving frame rates on lower-spec PCs. Performance should now be in line with other third-party titles built on Unreal Engine 5. Additionally Nanite Resolution Settings have been added to help you squeeze more out of your game Should you like to trade off some model detail for some performance. (this can be found in the advanced section of the graphics settings)

MULTIPLAYER IMPROVEMENTS

Multiplayer has been a core focus for this update. We have reworked lobby input and removed input lag for clients. You can now play comfortably against your friends no matter where they are. We have also added the ability to turn off collisions when setting up multiplayer lobbies.

Fixes/Optimisations/Changes

Major

  • Economy update, ToFu will now be much easier to earn and you will earn more per ToFu stage

  • Streamlined garage main menu

  • You can now purchase a duplicate part in the tuning menu by pressing “buy again” viewable in the bottom left button guide

  • ABS (Anti-lock braking system) is now part of the tune menu and will change automatically based on changing the tune defaults

  • Parts menu is now within the main secondary menu in the garage instead of within “Inventory”

  • Improved part node cameras and positions for a smoother car customising experience

Chase game mode score changes

The Chase Game Mode scoring system has been overhauled to emphasize precision and realistic tandem drifting. Score multipliers based on drift states have been removed, and points are now awarded primarily for maintaining close proximity to the lead car. The threshold for achieving a “Tandem” drift has been tightened, requiring players to closely match the lead vehicle’s angle and direction. These changes raise the skill ceiling, encouraging tighter, more controlled chases and discouraging unrealistic drifting techniques.

Minor

  • Inventory menu now includes manufacturer filter

  • The button guide now has new UI artwork

  • Fixed Nissan 180sx Sileighty hood clipping

  • Fixed up taillights on some cars so they appear less grainy

  • Removed colored dots from tires

  • Added milliseconds to timed event results

  • Upgraded to DLSS 4 to support 5000 series 3X / 4X upscaling

  • Pause menu time dilation has been removed

  • Air con units on LZ Compound are now destructible

  • Tents in Irwindale can now be knocked over

  • Fixed an issue where the R34 Ztune was missing side skirt

  • Fixed an issue where controller throttle had an excessive deadzone

  • Suspected fix for rare issue where vehicle suspension becomes broken in multiplayer lobbies

  • Fixed a bug where your input sometimes doesn’t work in a multiplayer lobby

  • Adjusted some camera angles in main garage menu

  • Fixed various misplaced assets across different tracks
